Many people today think they are going to heaven when they die because they know about a Messiah.
Simply knowing about a Messiah won't save you, not even knowing the Torah (or law) will save you. Hey, if the church you're going to doesn't teach the Torah, then how would you start to obey laws unless it be preached, Romans 10?
> Romans 2:13 TS2009 For not the hearers of the Torah [or law] are righteous in the sight of Elohim, but the doers of the Torah shall be declared right.
> Matthew 7:21 TS2009 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire [or the commands] of My Father in the heavens.
> James 1:22 TS2009 And become doers of the Word [commandments], and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
> 1st John 3:7 TS2009 Little children, let no one lead you astray. The one doing righteousness [the commandments] is righteous, even as He is righteous.
> Luke 6:46 TS2009 “But why do you call Me ‘Master, Master,’ and do not do what I say?
> Luke 11:28 TS2009 But He said, “Blessed rather are those hearing the Word [or commands] of Elohim and watching over it!”
When we repent of following man made traditions or fighting against Elohim's commandments, and put our trust in His one time for all time atoning sacrifice through Yahusha Messiah, it is then that we have received the gift of eternal life, as long as we stay faithful He will atone.
Messiah said in Matthew 19:17, "If you wish to enter into [eternal] life, keep the commandments." And in John 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."
