Keep The Torah

Basically I like the Tanakh 1917 version of the Bible, but with restored names, so I'm building my own Tanakh 1917 version with Restored Names. It is work in progress, and a module that should load into MySword for Android.

DO WE OFTEN TIMES AGREE TO THINGS WE KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT? by #JJD_Peterson, Date: 2019-08-21 It's really no surprise that we may say "AMEN" to commands we don't understand, but resist the ones we do. For instance many Christians will agree that they shouldn't commit adultery, but when hearing the command, nod their head and say "Amen". But have they truly considered that if the woman is married a second time while the first husband remains alive, that they are living in adultery themselves, Romans 7:2-3, Exodus 22:16? For example, the woman at the well with Messiah, in John 4: Didn't Messiah say to her that she's had five husbands, and the one she had was not her husband? Do you think she may have also been ignorantly saying "Amen" to the command "Thou shalt not commit adultery" while ignorantly living in it? Or maybe she knew and continued transgressing. Is this just as the title says? We agree to th...

I AM REPENTING OF MY WRONG INTERPRETATION OF THE 2ND COMMANDMENT by JJD Peterson Date: 2019-08-04 I AM TRULY SORRY FOR TEACHING THAT IMAGES WERE IDOLATRY THEMSELVES Many of you know that I had believed that using or creating images of creation in heaven, in earth, or in the waters under the earth, was committing idolatry against the Master's commandments, Exodus 20:4-6. Most of you who disagreed with me also disagreed with me that eating pig and shrimp was a sin also, though Leviticus 11 tells us directly not to eat them. You also fought against me with your Sunday worship replacing the Sabbath commandment in Exodus 20:8-11, of which still remains a command that most Christians still violate to this day. I really wasn't surprised you would refuse my now realizing a false interpretation of the image idolatry, because you were still justifying yourself to disobey the commandments. However, wrong is wrong, and I apologize for interpreting the scriptures wrongly here in Exo...

IS THE TRINITY DOCTRINE AUTHENTIC? by #JJD_Peterson, dated: 2019-07-25 http://KeepTheTorah.blogspot.com As a Christian for thirty years, I had no reason to disbelieve the trinity; I even lead ex-Jehovah Witnesses to the trinity doctrine myself just prior to my conversion to repentance of the Torah through Messiah. I had believed so firmly that Messiah had existed from the beginning and came to us in the form of a human being. As I've been convinced otherwise with what appear facts, I'm humbled that I could have followed so blindly a belief that now seems so contrived. This document is by no means pretty, complete, organized, or even remotely close to being finished, but I do hope you will find this draft at least a little challenging: THE FRACTURES IN THE DOCTRINE While I was never open to consider that the trinity belief may have some issues in the scriptures, and while researching if Christianity is connected to the apostles of Messiah, I stumbled...

DID SHA'UL (OR PAUL) KEEP SABBATH? by JJD Peterson Date: 2018-07-18 Updated: 2019-07-18 If he didn't keep Sabbath, his testimony would have been void in convincing Yehudim (or Jews) of their Messiah. Notes: I used "Paul" and "Jews" in the Image because most Christians aren't familiar with original transliteration of names. No matter what country I visit, my name is still my name. I want to appeal to "Christianity", that they see the requirement in keeping the Torah as their Savior has commanded them, in order that they may obtain the life He promises, Matthew 19:17, John 14:21, Luke 24:13-16, Luke 24:24-27. It has been said, "the New Testament believers didn't keep the Sabbath" . Oh really? If that were so, then wouldn't יהושע our Messiah or even Sha'ul have been condemned and killed for breaking the Torah which commands us to keep the Sabbath days Set-apart, Exodus 20:8-11, which is the 7th day of every week? Oh wai...

THE RIGHT INSURANCE PLAN by JJD Peterson Dated: 2019-07-18 I suppose a man buying insurance for his phone finds security knowing that his phone will be replaced if it gets broken. So he treats his phone carelessly and not as careful as he ought. Then one day it drops to the floor and the screen breaks. He fears nothing and calls for his help. Oh insurance company, come to my rescue. "Good afternoon sir, what can I do for you,"  the voice at the other end greets. "Well my phone fell to the ground and broke, and I'd like to replace it with a new one," you say in total confidence. "I'm sorry sir, but in the contract, it says that phone drops are not covered by the plan."   "Uh oh.." And if we think we will be saved by Messiah without ever repenting of keeping His torah (or laws), we also will be shocked in the day of judgment.  Matthew 7:21-23 TS2009 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the heave...

IS YOUR PREOCCUPATION GOING TO SAVE YOU IN THE DAY OF DISTRESS? By JJD Peterson Dated: 2018-03-25 The evil one is busy keeping you from The Bible, which holds the instructions we are to follow for salvation ... The evil one is using everything from Facebook, NBA, NFL, Youtube, Hangouts, TV, Instagram, Whatsapp, Messenger, Viber, and various other media gadgets, to keep you preoccupied, busy, and far away from the truth.. None of those side shows will save you from the wrath of יהוה (Yahuah The Father) on judgment day. They will only be placeholders to knowing the truth, and turning away from sin. Dear friends, the way of the world is going to hell because of it's many SINS before our Creator יהוה. Unless we turn away from ALL SIN by making new hearts, and asking forgiveness from the Messiah, we will perish,  Luqas / Luke 13:3 . Is making money more important than seeking righteousness of יהוה by keeping His commandments? If making money has a higher priority than obeying יהוה, then...

Iḇ`rim / Hebrews Chapter 1 Study With Jordan & Anngeneth, this Sabbath day 2019-07-13 > Heb 1:1-14 TS2009 1 Elohim, having of old spoken in many portions and many ways to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, Notes: The Son speaks to us in similar ways that Elohim has always spoken to us through the prophets in times past. > whom He has appointed heir of all, Notes: "heir": 1. Someone who inherits, or is designated to inherit, the property of another. 2. One who inherits, or has been designated to inherit, a hereditary title or office. 3. A successor in a role, representing continuity with the predecessor. To reject יהושע (Yahusha) Messiah, the heir, continuation, or completion, it is the same as rejecting Mosheh or any prophet in the time line of יהוה (Yahuah). Yoḥanan / John 5:45-47 TS2009 45 “Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father. There is o...

HOW CAN YOU BE FOUND IF NOT LOST? by #JJD_Peterson dated: 2019-06-09 Luke 15:11-32 TS2009 11. And He said, “A certain man had two sons, 12. and the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods falling to me.’ And he divided his livelihood between them. 13. “And not many days after, the younger son, having gathered all together, went away to a distant country, and there wasted his goods with loose living. 14. “And when he had spent all, there arose a severe scarcity of food throughout that land, and he began to be in need. 15. “And he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16. “And he was longing to fill his stomach with the pods which the pigs were eating, and no one gave to him. 17. “But having come to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I am perishing with hunger! 18. Having risen, I shall go to my father and say to him, “F...

BELIEF AND WORKS DEFINED By #JJD_Peterson 2019-06-19 We hear about "belief" and "works" throughout the writings of Sha'ul, known to us as Paul, who wrote much of the New Testament of our bibles today. The law contains two parts within itself, just like we have today with civil laws like do not kill, steal, lie, etc, and then we have the court of law deciding how to carry out judgments for those who transgress the civil laws. Can we boast in being a law abiding citizen because we pay our fines or "law of works" to the court of law, or to stop committing the crimes all together, which is the "law of faith"? If we stop breaking civil laws, don't we stay out of court? Romans 3:27-28 TS2009 27 Where, then, is the boasting? It is shut out. By what torah [or law]? Of works? No, but by the torah of belief. 28 For we reckon that a man is declared right by belief without works of Torah. We stand right before Elohim when we start keeping the ...

Are Paintings of Messiah Authentic? By #JJD_Peterson Date: 2019-06-19 There are debates going around about what color the Messiah was. Was He white, black, or brown? Knowing His color wasn't a commandment, so I can't possibly see any connection to the righteousness here which leads us to life eternal. However, I will say: If Yahusha Messiah was perfect in our Father's Torah of commands, then He would not have allowed anyone to paint Him, because that would break the 2nd commandment: Exodus 20:4-6 TS2009 4 “You do not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of that which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth, 5 you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, יהוה your Elohim am a jealous Ěl, visiting the crookedness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing loving-commitment to thousands, to those who love Me an...

YASHAR / JASHER 23 - AḆRAHAM SACRIFICING HIS SON YITSḤAQ Jasher 23:1-90 - Names restored by JJD Peterson [1.] At that time the word of יהוה came to Aḇraham, and he said unto him, Aḇraham, and he said, Here I am. [2.] And he said to him, Take now thy son, thine only son whom thou lovest, even Yitsḥaq, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which shall be shown to thee, for there wilt thou see a cloud and the glory of יהוה. [3.] And Aḇraham said within himself, How shall I separate my son Yitsḥaq from Sarah his mother, in order to bring him up for a burnt offering before יהוה? [4.] And Aḇraham came into the tent, and he sat before Sarah his wife, and he spoke these words to her, [5.] My son Yitsḥaq is grown up and he has not for some time studied the service of his Elohim, now tomorrow I will go and br...
